Custody Documentation Reference Index (CDRI)

The Custody Documentation Reference Index (CDRI) is a structured reference system established to assign Unique Reference Numbers (URNs) to documented custody events.

A URN references a documentation event only.

It does not validate authenticity, ownership, valuation, legal rights, or regulatory compliance.

Purpose of the CDRI System

The CDRI system is intended to:

• Provide structured event referencing
• Improve documentation traceability
• Promote clarity in custody record identification
• Support structured archival referencing

The system does not replace institutional documentation systems.

Unique Reference Number (URN) Format

All CDRI-issued reference numbers follow a standardized format:

IACA-CDRI-YYYY-XXXX

Where:

YYYY = Year of reference issuance
XXXX = Sequential reference number

Example:

IACA-CDRI-2026-0042

Scope of Reference

A CDRI URN references a documented custody event submission only.

It does not constitute:

• Ownership registration
• Legal recordation
• Title confirmation
• Authenticity verification
• Market valuation

The URN functions solely as a documentation reference identifier.

Institutional Position

The CDRI system operates as a structured documentation reference mechanism.

It does not operate as a registry of ownership, authenticity database, or legal instrument.

All usage remains informational in nature.
